Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Parlee Checkout — the payment processor operated by Parlee Conseiller, Inc. on behalf of its merchant customers — collects, how it's used, and how it's protected. It applies only to checkout.parlee.net; the broader Parlee Conseiller privacy policy covers our main corporate site, and each merchant's own privacy policy governs their relationship with their own customers.

What we collect

  • Payment metadata — the payer's name, email address, the amount, currency, purpose, and the merchant a payment was made to.
  • Bill references — if a merchant pre-creates a bill, the bill ID and matching invoice details (description, amount, status).
  • Transaction records — a reference ID returned by Stripe once a payment is processed, used to generate a receipt and reconcile the merchant's and platform's books.
  • Merchant configuration — a merchant's connected Stripe account identifier, commission rate, and notification webhook — never a merchant's Stripe secret keys, which Parlee Checkout never holds thanks to Stripe Connect.
  • Basic technical data — IP address and timestamps, used only for fraud prevention and troubleshooting.

What we never collect

Parlee Checkout never receives, transmits, or stores a payer's full card number, expiration date, or CVC/security code. Those fields are rendered and submitted directly through Stripe's secure, embedded payment form — they never enter Parlee's or the merchant's servers, logs, or databases. See our Security page for the full explanation.

How we use this information

  • To process a payment and generate an accurate receipt.
  • To route funds to the correct merchant, minus the platform commission.
  • To notify the relevant merchant that a payment has been received or has failed.
  • To provide support if a payer or merchant contacts us about a transaction.
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the platform.

Who we share it with

Payment processing is performed entirely by Stripe, Inc., acting as our payment processor. Stripe's own privacy practices are described at stripe.com/privacy. A normalized transaction notification is also sent to the merchant identified at checkout, so they know a payment succeeded or failed. We do not sell, rent, or share information with any other third party for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Transaction records are retained for as long as reasonably required for accounting, tax, audit, and customer-support purposes, consistent with applicable law.

Your choices

If you have questions about a payment, want a copy of your records, or wish to request deletion of information we hold about you (where applicable law permits), contact the merchant identified at checkout, or the Parlee Conseiller team via the contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision.
