Here's exactly how we protect payment information — in plain language, with no fine print hiding the important parts.
All communication — from the moment the checkout page loads to the moment payment is confirmed — is protected by TLS 1.2+ with 256-bit encryption, the same standard used in online banking.
The instant a card number is entered, Stripe converts it into a secure, single-use token. That token — never the real number — is what's used to complete the transaction.
For cards and regions that require it, Stripe automatically applies 3-D Secure authentication (like a one-time code from your bank) to verify it's really you — adding another layer of protection at no extra step for most payments.
Every transaction is screened by Stripe Radar, a machine-learning fraud detection system trained on data from millions of global businesses, blocking suspicious activity before it ever reaches you.
Stripe maintains the highest level of certification defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council — the same bar held by the world's largest payment processors and banks.
You'll know immediately whether payment succeeded — with a clear on-screen receipt you can save or print, plus an automatic confirmation from Stripe sent by email, and a notification back to the merchant.
To match a payment to the right merchant and provide support if needed, Parlee Checkout stores only the minimum: the payer's name, email, the amount, the purpose, and a transaction reference provided by Stripe. We never store card numbers, expiration dates, or security codes — Stripe handles all of that on infrastructure Parlee never has access to.

Every payment is a Stripe Connect destination charge: it settles directly to the merchant's own connected Stripe account, minus Parlee Checkout's platform commission, which is deducted automatically by Stripe in the same transaction. Parlee Checkout never holds customer funds.
If anything about a payment looks unfamiliar, contact the merchant identified at checkout with your reference number from your receipt — they can look up the transaction, or you can reach the Parlee Conseiller team through the contact page.
